February 2022: Project YVR Release Info!

As I get close to finishing YVR, I am now focusing on minor fixes within the model, including flickering textures and missing objects/textures, as well as ensuring AI and taxiway functionality works properly at the airport. I have resolved all SDK issues, and have made a significant amount of progress in the sim. This includes custom runway markings, custom taxiway markings, custom apron markings, gate numbers, numerous selectable spawn points, and full AI traffic and ATC functionality.

On the changelog section of this website, you will find the release notes of Project YVR for when it releases.

Project YVR will release in an early access state. This means that the airport will be fully functional (for the most part), however, there may be some buildings that aren't hand modelled yet, or some missing signs, for example. YVR is simply too big for me to complete in under a year, so instead, I will be releasing the current product, and improving each part of YVR in sections, through feature updates.

Feature updates may include things like interior modelling for a specific pier of the airport, or modelling the South terminal, for example.

There will also be stability updates that follow every feature update, which will be focused on optimization, fixing any bugs or issues with YVR, and various minor changes.

The planned release date for Project YVR is before the end of April, and more details will follow a few weeks prior to the release. For notifications when the release date is announced, make sure to join the Project YVR Discord: discord.gg/Dwtz6eCDNr

The next update will be the release announcement, so it may not happen on the 18th like it usually does. See you then!
